Elwha Klallam Heritage Center

Description: The facility includes offices for Tribal social services and facililties to provide skills training such as culinary arts and traditional Klallam arts and crafts. Entrepreneurial opportunities, including a retail area, are also planned. The center is located within the heart of the City of Port Angeles and has breathed new life into a former tire shop.

Longhouse Market and Deli

Description: A market, deli, and gas station to diversify the Tribe's business interests. This building is a "gateway" to the North Olympic Peninsula. In addition to serving travellers, the market has proved indispensable to the area's residents, providing a wide assortment of groceries, fresh produce, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and an outstanding deli. Three fuel islands provide Chevron fuel at 12 pumps. A generous parking lot easily accommodates trucks and RVs. Restrooms within the market provide clean and safe facilities. The structure, art and landscaping all come together to provide a beautiful roadside oasis.

Francis Street Park

Description: The "House of the Sea Spirit" shelter provides a closeup view of traditional artwork in both totem and wall carving forms as it expresses the relationship of the forest and the sea. The shelter overlooks Sequim Bay.

Olympic Timber Town & Heritage Center

Description: Master planning for a proposed venue designed to honor the trees, forests and related industries of the Pacific Northwest. The center will depict the use of natural resources from pre-contact through the turn of the 20th century. Facilities will include a mill, museum and a logging camp with hands-on experiences. A boardwalk will be edged with mercantile and specialty shops. A train ride will delight children and transport visitors around the 57-acre site, 5 miles west of Port Angeles.
